RANKINCENSE, which was one of the gifts presented to the infant Christ

by the three wise men, as depicted above in The Adoration of the Magi by Rubens, is the main ingredient in the incense offered by Catholic Tradition.

      It has been made for over a century according to a collection of old recipes by Benedictine monks and is currently available in individual packs for use in the home, which include packets of charcoal to burn it on, as well as larger quantities more suitable for use in churches, with boxes of charcoal sold separately.
